In a bid to enhance the socio-economic health of teachers, KEWOTA continues to fulfill its promises with unwavering commitment. Under the Mwalimu na Tank project, a collaborative effort between KEWOTA, Family Bank, and Kentainers, teachers are receiving essential resources directly at their doorsteps.
Recently, this initiative saw the delivery of two more tanks in the regions of Migori and Homa Bay. The grateful teachers in these areas welcomed the tanks with open arms, recognizing the profound impact these resources will have on their lives and work.
“Under the sustainable development goals, water is an essential commodity whose benefits support education, and that is why we continue to deliver tanks because we care for our members,” said CEO Benta Opande, whose message was conveyed by Ken Nyakone during the delivery ceremony.
Ken Nyakone was joined by Migori Coordinator Madam Beatrice and Sylvia Osano, both of whom played instrumental roles in ensuring the smooth delivery and installation of the tanks. Their presence underscored KEWOTA’s dedication to not only providing resources but also fostering a supportive and collaborative community for educators.
This initiative is a testament to KEWOTA’s ongoing efforts to support and empower teachers, recognizing their crucial role in shaping the future. By addressing fundamental needs such as access to water, KEWOTA is not only enhancing the quality of life for teachers but also enabling them to focus more on their vital educational duties.
The Mwalimu na Tank project exemplifies how targeted interventions can lead to significant improvements in socio-economic conditions. As KEWOTA continues to deliver on its promises, the impact of such initiatives will undoubtedly ripple through the community, fostering a more sustainable and supportive environment for education.
